Introduction to Cake Decorating

In this entry level class Bonnie will teach the fundamentals
of cake decorating. Students will learn how to use fondant
to cover cakes and make decorations. They will be introduced
to a wide range of decorating tools, skills and techniques
including piping and how to create decorations using
royal icing.
Students will also learn about colour, how to make
mini cakes, how to do floodwork, and how to paint on
cakes.

Intermediate Cake Decorating & Design

The intermediate class is designed for individuals
who have already completed Bonnie's introductory class.
This 5-week course will build on students' cake decorating
skills and introduce such topics as brush embroidery,
gum paste flowers, level II piping skills and lace appliqué.
Students will also learn about designing custom cakes,
how to assemble multi-tiered cakes, as well as the delivery
and setup of celebration cakes. All tools and materials
will be provided, however, students are encouraged to
bring their own decorating tools.

During this fabulous 5 hour demontration Lesia will
cover:
- the properties of chocolate;
- how to temper chocolate;
- how to produce handmade truffles through the use
of various techniques (moulding, piping, hand-dipping);
- how to create handmade chocolate decorations and;
- how to prepare and use modelling chocolate.

What to Bring:
Please bring an apron to every class/workshop in which you participate.
Most classes/workshops include all of the tools that you need. However,
there are some classes that require participants to buy or bring specific
tools. This information is provided in the class/workshop description as
well as the registration package that you will receive once you are
registered. Supplies will also be available for purchase.

Unfortunately, all classes are limited in number to ensure that every participant
receives individualized attention from Bonnie.
All classes/workshops will be filled on a first-come first-served
basis. Should interest levels exceed our registration capacity
for any class, we will make every effort to schedule another
class at a different time. If such a change occurs, we will
notify you of this update and will make certain that anyone
who was unable to register for the original class will be
registered in priority sequence for the next one. We cannot
guarantee that sending your registration form and payment
will ensure your place. If a class has to be cancelled, your
payment will be refunded in full.
If you cannot make it to the class/workshop for which you
have registered, you may send someone in your place. We cannot,
however, refund your money if you cannot attend.
Some classes will require additional tools/equipment. Once
you have successfully registered for a class, you will receive
a registration package that outlines what you need.
